American Home Improvement receives award
American Home Improvement & Design, a St. Louis area home remodeling firm, was awarded a 2001 Award of Distinction for outstanding use of vinyl siding from the Vinyl Siding Institute, an organization that regulates the vinyl siding industry nationwide. American Home Improvement and Design was recognized under the Historic Restoration category for their installation of vinyl siding and accessories at the Korean Church of the Nazarene, 601 Parker Road in Ballwin. American's owner, Les Benick, admits that all the work and attention to detail for the project was worth it. "I can't think of a better way to finish this project than to receive this award. I am honored to have been recognized by VSI." The panel of judges for the award included many distinguished experts in the home building and remodeling industry such as syndicated home improvement writer and former remodeler, Jim Rooney and Scott Montjoy - a construction manager for Habitat for Humanity International. All entries were required to use vinyl siding certified through the VSI Vinyl Siding Certification Program, which verifies through an independent inspection process that certified siding meets or exceeds ASTM D3679, the accepted industry standard for quality vinyl siding. Les Benick has been in the home improvement industry for over 25 years. He established American Home Improvement and Design in 1991. |
